Open Day 2014

A BIG SUCCESS!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Open Day on Saturday 6th September. It was very well attended, with over 25 people who came to have a go - young and old, along with around 11 Club members and the President, Richard Pepperd with his 2 grand-children.

Thank you also to those who made it possible, to those who helped promote the event before, those who helped with set-up and clearing up, and to all those who made / donated cakes to sell. Also those who helped with the robot competition and everyone who helped on the day.

Robot Competition

This attracted many people to have a go against the Robot. People had 50 balls per go and the winner was the one who got the most in a box on the table.

There was a competition for Non-league players, a separate competition for under 16's and Adults. Both Non-league competitions were won by a father and son from the same family - John Greenough and his son Alex. John managed to hit 20 balls in the box and Alex got 21! These are one's to watch for the future.

There was also a League players competition in which a former member Olly Tyndall managed to hit a staggering 45 balls out of 50 in the box.

People also had an opportunity to knock with Darren Griffin in the village hall next door.
