Warner Shield

Club Members represent Gloucester

The 32nd Warner Shield match between rival towns, Gloucester and Cheltenham took place on Thursday 20th February 2014 at Lakeside Primary School in Cheltenham. With the result being 15-16 to Cheltenham before the night, the Gloucester team had it all to play for to make it all square.

As the Home team, Cheltenham chose the events, which included Ladies Doubles, Under 21 singles, Hardbat singles, Under 15 boys doubles and Over 50 men's singles.

R&HTTC were well represented with 4 players taking part.

Ladies Doubles:

Julie Taylor & Kristina Rybakova v Ann Barnes & Christine Williams 11/7, 11/8, 8/11, 10/12, 9/11

Under 21 Singles:

Jaspreet Singh v Olly Tyndall 11/9, 11/7, 7/11, 11/8

Hardbat:

Matt Hartwell v Darren Griffin 2/11, 5/11, 8/11

Under 15 Doubles:

William Wickens & Nick Hancock v Owen Berry & Ed Birt 8/11, 10/12, 3/11

Nick Mytton v Bill Dawe 8/11,v7/11, 8/11

These results meant that Gloucester won 4-1, bringing the Competition all square at 16-16 over the long history of the event.
